Iowa State Dominates

The Cyclones blew past the Jayhawks this afternoon in a whirlwind of a match with the eye of the storm centered over Hilton Coliseum. Students and fans alike had this bout circled in their calendar prior to the season even began, however the importance of this game has steadily been rising throughout the season. The last time Iowa State faced off against Kansas was on January 14th at Allen Fieldhouse. In that game, Kansas won 62-60 which was heartbreaking for Iowa State hopefuls. However, that is what made this recent game ever more important. With that being said, the clones answered the call and soundly beat the Jayhawks 68-53.

In the wake of a Cyclone victory, The Iowan Perspective asked a question on twitter about whether this victory was a result of Kansas’s slide in conference play, or resemblant of Iowa State's recent success. Unfortunately, no one responded, nevertheless do not worry! You still have a chance to react to that question and maybe a new article will be published on YOUR perspective.

In the meantime, Iowa State is looking to finish out their conference match-ups positively and solidify themselves as a 2-3 seed in the NCAA tournament, and Kansas has taken a step back since their championship run last year.
